New Review of Heartwood

From the September edition of New Age Retailer

Many comparisons will be made between Sora’s Heartwood and any of Loreena McKennitt’s CDs, since both feature heavenly voices paired with both older and more contemporary instruments, spinning accessible melodies with Celtic and British Isles influences, as well as some Early Music, classical, and world touches. Heartwood could easily connect Sora to a much wider audience, which she soundly deserves. Her haunting, delicate voice conveys emotion effortlessly, whether the accompaniment is sparse or full, the mood uptempo or sedate, or the lyrical content personal or mythical. Bonus: Full lyrics are included—hurray!
