Somehow

Time drips slowly
Into all the cracks
Of fissured hearts
Broken anguish

Somewhere
Along the fault lines
There is magic
Waiting to peck open
This worn out shell

Somehow
The settlement will spread
Dust shrouds
On exposed words
Dulling the forgiven edge

Someday
The wings of lost holdings
Will shake out
The caged light
Weighted shadows

And I will peel heaviness
From crying vestments
Denude into my naked smile
